Air Arabia will restart daily nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode, India, starting October 16, 2026. This move will reestablish a direct air route linking the UAE emirate with the coastal city in Kerala. Announced on October 6, the airline stated that tickets for the route are now available for booking. The daily flights will reconnect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport in southern India.

According to Air Arabia, the renewed route will enable passengers to enjoy direct daily flights between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is situated on Kerala’s Malabar Coast in southern India. The airline did not release specific departure and arrival times in its October 6 statement, nor did it specify the aircraft type or flight numbers for the resumed daily service. These details were not included in the latest announcement either.
Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer of Air Arabia, expressed satisfaction with the route’s revival. He highlighted that the daily service would provide a convenient link between the two cities for travelers. Al Ali also emphasized the airline’s ongoing commitment to offering dependable travel options and fostering community connections. The decision to bring back the route was driven by travel demand between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode, though no passenger volume forecasts or traffic estimates were provided.
Daily flights renew Kerala connection
This Kozhikode route complements Air Arabia’s existing nonstop network from Ras Al Khaimah, which currently includes destinations like Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar. The reinstated India service will expand that network from October 16. Since establishing operations at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, Air Arabia has maintained the emirate as one of its primary UAE bases.
The airline initially launched nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode on November 22, 2023. At that time, the route operated three times weekly using Airbus A320 aircraft, with flights scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The upcoming 2026 restart will increase the frequency to a daily schedule, although the airline has not confirmed if the previous flight numbers or departure times will be retained.
Advance bookings available ahead of October relaunch
Passengers can secure reservations for the resumed flights through Air Arabia’s official website, its call center, or authorized travel agencies. These booking options were confirmed when the airline announced the October restart. The statement did not specify when the previous service was halted or explain the reason for the interruption. Additionally, fare details, exact operating times, or aircraft assignments for the new daily schedule were not disclosed. The airline’s release mainly focused on the restart date, frequency, and direct city pairing.
The October 16 resumption marks nearly three years since the route’s initial operation from Ras Al Khaimah to Kozhikode. The service will once again provide a nonstop link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala. While the airline confirmed daily flights from the restart date, other schedule specifics remain undisclosed. Passengers seeking precise timings, flight numbers, or fare information are encouraged to check the airline’s booking channels for current details. No additional modifications to the route have been announced by the carrier.
