SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights connecting Sharjah with Gdansk beginning on Dec. 14, 2026. The newly introduced route will link Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport with five weekly flights. These services will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This addition provides another direct UAE link to northern Poland and broadens Air Arabia’s scheduled network within the country. Ticket sales for these flights are already accessible through the airline’s sales channels.

Air Arabia sets December start for Sharjah Gdansk route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Poland links with five weekly Sharjah-Gdansk flights.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs from Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return, G9 0629, takes off from Gdansk at 8:50 p.m., arriving in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the next day. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are scheduled to leave Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with return services departing Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and reaching Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All times listed are local times.

Once operational, Gdansk will be Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, joining Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport already served by the airline. Additionally, Air Arabia plans to introduce four weekly flights to Katowice starting Dec. 17, 2026, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These expansions will extend the airline’s direct connectivity to Poland beyond the two cities it currently covers.

Gdansk broadens Air Arabia’s Polish route network

The Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European flight schedule from Sharjah, which includes destinations such as Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced services to Frankfurt and Katowice, further expanding its European offerings. Gdansk provides travelers from Poland’s Baltic coast region with a direct scheduled connection to the UAE via Sharjah.

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, emphasized the significance of adding Gdansk to their expanding Polish network. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, highlighted the importance of the direct Sharjah route for the Pomeranian area. The airport serves as a transfer hub for destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport also serves the broader Tri-City area, including Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other communities in northern Poland.

Five weekly flights link Sharjah with Gdansk

Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline has opened bookings for the Gdansk route via its website, call center, and travel agencies. The schedule designates G9 0628 and G9 0629 as the Monday and Saturday flights. Services on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will operate as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. These five weekly flights will provide nonstop, bi-directional service connecting the two airports.

The launch on Dec. 14 will precede the start of services to Katowice, which begins three days later. With existing connections to Krakow and Warsaw, the upcoming additions will bring Air Arabia’s Polish destinations to four cities. The Gdansk route will offer five nonstop flights each week in both directions, according to the published timetable. As of Aug. 26, 2026, the airline continues to confirm the Dec. 14 launch date and the five-flight weekly schedule for the Sharjah-Gdansk route.
