    Investment Summit in India Highlights UAE-India Economic Collaboration

    AHMEDABAD, India / RankWire.AI / — More than 500 government officials, institutional investors, and global business leaders gathered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to participate in the fifth edition of the Investopia Dialogues focused on India. The event aimed to promote cross-border investment flows into high-growth sectors and turn bilateral economic relations between the UAE and India into concrete joint ventures and private-sector deals, especially following the signing of the bilateral investment treaty. Organizers emphasized that this platform acts as a key driver for boosting international capital deployment into strategic industries such as artificial intelligence, sustainable manufacturing, and food security.

    The conference brought together prominent public and private sector stakeholders to explore opportunities in logistics, food security, advanced manufacturing, financial services, tourism, and artificial intelligence. UAE Ministry of Economy Minister Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri held discussions with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel during the summit. The authorities examined prospects for expanding cooperation between Emirati companies and regional industrial hubs within Gujarat. Bin Touq emphasized that the choice of Ahmedabad highlights Gujarat’s prominence as a leading center of industry and economy.

    Abdulrahman Mohammed Alhawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment and President of Investopia, announced that the UAE contributes over 70 percent of the total Gulf Cooperation Council countries’ investments into India. Alhawi pointed out that nearly 4,000 new Indian firms joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the first quarter of 2026. He added that the Ahmedabad Investopia Dialogues represent a pivotal milestone in enabling Indian companies to access broader global markets through UAE’s financial hubs.

    Enhancing Capital Movement in Emerging Industrial Corridors

    Major corporate announcements from regional business leaders underscored the event’s economic impact. Retail giant LuLu Group revealed a 4,000 crore Indian rupee investment project in Ahmedabad. Chairman Yusuff Ali M.A. disclosed plans for a development covering 21 acres, including a shopping mall, a five-star hotel, and serviced apartments. The project is expected to generate over 15,000 jobs. Additionally, the group is launching a food park and a fish-processing facility.

    Representatives from Marjan Developers pointed to an increasing trend of Indian investors participating in real estate and hospitality projects. Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Saqr bin Omar Al Qasimi stated that Indian capital plays a crucial role in transforming Ras Al Khaimah into an international destination. Furthermore, executives from agribusiness firm Silal Group, including CEO Dhafer Al Qasimi, participated in sector roundtables to assess advancements in agriculture, cold-chain logistics, and supply chain resilience.

    Strengthening Private Sector Alliances and Embracing Technological Innovation

    Discussions during strategic panels focused on the role of sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and private equity in financing large infrastructure projects. Attendees deliberated on methods to simplify regulatory processes to promote capital flow into sectors with high returns. Emphasis was also placed on technology transfer, particularly in developing digital infrastructure and accelerating artificial intelligence adoption within manufacturing sectors. The aim was to enhance the global competitiveness of both economies through advancements in knowledge-based industries.

    The summit concluded with several bilateral meetings intended to formalize institutional agreements among participating entities. Organizers indicated that the platform will maintain its role in hosting international dialogues in key markets to align private investments with long-term macroeconomic strategies. By emphasizing trade infrastructure, industrial technology, and joint ventures, the Investopia Dialogues continue to foster predictable investment pathways supporting global economic growth.
