SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia plans to introduce direct flights linking Sharjah International Airport with Amman City Airport starting on November 15, 2026. These flights will operate four times weekly, broadening the airline’s route network between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia operates flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, the primary airport serving Jordan’s capital. The new service provides travelers with a second airport option in Amman within the airline’s Sharjah network, further strengthening its scheduled routes to Jordan.

Scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the new route’s flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Bookings for the route are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agents.
This addition enhances Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan network, which currently includes flights connecting Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the airline operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new route from Sharjah will extend the group’s presence at Amman City Airport to another departure point in the UAE while preserving its current Jordan services.
Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, emphasized that the new route provides travelers with an alternative airport option in the Jordanian capital. He highlighted that the service will enhance convenience and offer greater flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the new Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month before the scheduled launch in November. This route will operate alongside Air Arabia’s existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own service to Amman City Airport, beginning on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This operation also connects to Queen Alia International Airport, giving travelers two options for flying into Amman from the UAE capital. In April, Air Arabia announced that these two Abu Dhabi routes together provided 10 weekly flights to Amman at the time of the second airport’s launch.
Sharjah route adds four weekly Jordan flights
Operating under flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, the new service follows a fixed schedule of four flights per week. The airline’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its broader network. Alongside its flight services, Air Arabia offers amenities such as the SkyTime streaming service, SkyCafe onboard menu, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can book their flights to Amman City Airport in advance through the airline’s official sales channels ahead of the November 15 launch.
This expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s connectivity to Jordan through services originating from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also operates flights to both airports, while Alexandria maintains a direct link to Amman City Airport. The upcoming November launch will introduce four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital, further expanding the group’s regional route network.
