The alarming event unfolded around 7:40 a.m. when a Southwest Airlines flight and a JetBlue Airways flight, identified as Southwest flight 2936 and JetBlue flight 1554 respectively, found themselves on a collision course while operating at the busy airport.

Following the heart-stopping incident, the FAA has pledged to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the near-miss event to identify any systemic issues and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
